| Bio: | This is my less-public journal which I am going to keep less-public and less work-safe until I am so fabulously adored all over t'interweb that nobody cares. Yes, that is sarcasm. I suppose I just do not like people very much (as a group- individually, you're all lovely) and have low expectations of them. I have two working and fabulous websites now: GreenBee (above) and StockingShock! (not above since they only allow one. Sigh...: http://www.stockingshock.co.uk). I am now officially self-employed, and have my own number. Whee! tho like a clod, I let the taxfolk know one month before the new year, so I now have to fill in a return for *one month*. I would like to be a reasonably successful clothes designer (and of course maker of same) of a gothish-alternative-historinspired-lolita-esque persuasion; also a freelance illustrator, perhaps. But I haven't made a site for that yet. More or less everything I do is self-taught since I have neither time nor cash to be *taught* things by others; out of books, or cadging information, works so far. I am therefore fairly proficient in sewing and its subdivisions (embroidery, smocking- yes! beading etc.) corsetry in particular... performing of various types, bashing about on instruments and carrying a tune. You could call me an armchair this-or-that, but if you're not good enough or practiced enough to do som't professionally, who're you bothering? when the choice is ignorance I will settle for the comfy armchair and some second-hand wisdom. I have a few close friends but I prefer to meet people on the net rather than real life. I don't want a huge collective of friends but if people are interesting I like to talk to them. I quite like to be shocking and mad but I also like cozy old comfortable things. However, since I now have a boyfriend *and* a girlfriend, I am a terrible threat to the established social order and am instrumental in destroying beloved institutions, whatever they are. I'll let you know how that goes and inform you when the destruction of civilisation is complete. My last excellent holiday was to San Francisco, which I enjoyed very much. I am currently laughing at Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, 'invisible dog leeeeeeads' and mock-goths. Also lileks.com. | |||||
